Chair Yoga Classes in Oakville | Spring 2023

Finally a yoga class where you don’t have to sit on the floor!

Chair Yoga is for you if….
– You have difficulty sitting on the floor for long periods or time, or getting up and down
– Recently had knee or hip replacement (or considering it)
– Have arthritis or osteoporosis
– Want to hangout with a fun bunch of ladies

This isn’t your grandma’s chair yoga class – it’s similar to a typical yoga class but we use our chairs as props for a more gentler practice.  Students are encourage to listen to their bodies and work with any limitations.  We focus on flexibility, balance, core and coordination.  We start and finish each session with a beginner style meditation to help ease anxiety and stress.  Typical age of participants is late 50s to early 80s.

Chair Yoga is currently running twice a week at two different locations in south east Oakville.

Maple Grove United Church – Wednesday mornings at 10:30am.  Class size is limited to 10 in person participants and is broadcasted over Zoom (only Leah appears on camera).  Starts January 11th and runs until April 5th 2023.   Email me at [email protected] for more info.

Oakville Trafalgar Community Centre (Old Hospital) – Thursday mornings at 11:45am.  Class size is limited to 12 people.  This program is run through the Town of Oakville.  First class is March 30th.  Click here to register for Spring 2023.
