I wanted to share with you some info about an unique program I’m involved in:  COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) affects over 2 million Canadians.  Those who live with it can have difficulty breathing to the extent of the simple act of walking from their car to the grocery store can be quite challenging.

This gentle exercise program is geared to people with COPD and chronic asthma and focuses on improving oxygen levels, strengthens lungs and chest muscles which improves overall quality of life.  Just ask our many regular participants. 😉

It’s run twice a week out of Glen Abbey Community Centre in the Town of Oakville and is in partnership with Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital’s COPD therapy program.  And you don’t need an official diagnosis to join us.

Classes run Tuesday and Thursdays from 1:15 – 2:30pm.  Participants purchase a 10 class pass for under $40.  There is no expiry date and classes run all year round.

If you know someone who could benefits from attending this program, please tag them in this post.  Or for more info, contact me directly at [email protected]
