This yoga for seniors class is a perfect way to start you Friday and I great way to help you physically and mentally transition into the weekend.

What makes this class unique from other yoga classes is that it embraces the mature body. Poses are instructed in a way to take into consideration arthritis, osteoporosis and high blood pressure. Students are encouraged to listen to their bodies and move at their own pace.

Beginners are welcome to join us – no prior yoga experience is required (nor do you have to be flexible). If you have difficulty sitting on the floor then I suggest you check out our Wednesday morning Chair Yoga class. In this class we vary between poses on our backs, seated and standing with focus on flexibility, strength and balance. The average age of attendees is late 50s to 80s!!! Although they don’t look it. 😉

Drop ins are $15 per class or register for the session and save!  Works out to be $12 per class.  Location:  Maple Grove United Church located in south east Oakville.
